Easy...because I've been scammed by two of these paid list providers personally, and because I was embarrassed personally when I tried opening up a checking account during busy hours at a local bank that I found on the free lists....getting rejected in front of everyone. So here are some quick tips that will keep you from going the route that I went...thus keeping your hard earned safe from scammers, and your pride and ego intact: A) Don't listen to just anyone. A lot of the scam artists out there prey on our desperation and try to tell you stories of how they were in Chex System and how they found an account and blah blah blah. The easy way to counter this? Ask for proof that they were in the system and proof of their accounts that they now hold. B) The best way to avoid an embarrassing situation at a bank is to just stay away from free lists entirely. While I can't say that they're ALL scam artists...but I have yet to find any that aren't...and I've been at this for years now. C) Don't give away any of your information just for a free list of banks. A lot of sites will try and get information about your debt and current financial affairs before they will let you access their list of no Chex System banks which are garbage anyway. Who knows what they do with your personal information...not worth the risk in my opinion. All that being said... There are still ways of finding the non Chex Systems banks that you need in your local area that are FDIC insured and offer you an approved checking account. Just make sure that you land an information source that you can trust, has stood in your shoes, and has come through with checking accounts in hand. Please don't let Chex Systems or Telecheck get in the way of living a normal and happy life. It doesn't have to be that way; there are many banks that offer checking and or savings accounts regardless of your situation in these systems. I'm still in Chex Systems and have two checking and savings accounts with the works at real FDIC insured banks. Let me help you out of this situation that I was once in too and help you find no Chex System banks in your area. http://www.getnonchexsystemschecking.com/ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Ilya_Feynberg |
