All of that has of course proven to be very wrong as I know have two....not one...but TWO totally free checking accounts with two different non Chexsystems banks FDIC insured banks in my local area with all the benefits. I no longer have to settle for lies, and I no longer have to settle for second rate checking accounts. Don't get me wrong though, sometimes, and only sometimes there really is no other option other than a second chance checking account...but that's rare indeed. I see it every day...all over the internet...and even in just about every bank out there... They tell you that you're stuck in Chexsystems and that means no accounts for 5 full years and sometimes then some. Most of the time no one intends you harm of course, it's just that they too have been misinformed throughout the years about how the systems really work. The statistics show that nearly 20% of banks in this country don't use Chexsystems at all. That leaves a huge number of banks that are open to you regardless of your history with Chexsystems. You just have to know where and how to find them... In closing guys, please don't let yourself be tricked into thinking that you simply have no other option and no other way out but to hide your money in a cookie jar...it's just simply not true and not fair. There is a way out for you, and that way is a real FDIC insured checking account at a local bank near you. :) Please don't let Chexsystems or Telecheck get in the way of living a normal and happy life. It doesn't have to be that way! There are many banks that offer checking and or savings accounts regardless of your situation in these systems. I'm still in Chexsystems and have two checking and savings accounts with the works at real FDIC insured banks.
